More About Beverly Shores Necktie 5K Walk/Run πŸ‘”πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈβ€βž‘οΈ

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the town of Beverly Shores will host its 19th annual Necktie 5K Run/Walk.

This family-friendly event is sponsored by the Association of Beverly Shores Residents and honors all fathers and father figures.

Participants are invited to run or walk a 3.1-mile course festooned in neckties that winds through Beverly Shores and offers breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, the Great Marsh, and the woods. The nest of a pair of majestic eagles is also on the route, and it’s possible there will be some eaglet sightings.

Whole families are encouraged to attend, including babies in strollers and dogs on leashes.

Children between the ages of four and eight are invited to take part in their own mini race.

Overall and age group winners will be recognized as will the top father/daughter and father/son teams.

Live music before and during the race at the start/finish line, as well as post-race festivities at The Goblin (1 W Dunes Hwy, Beverly Shores) are also planned. Don’t miss out!

Parking near the start is extremely limited. There are a few spots at the public beach (just west of the start), but they require a National Park Pass and they fill up early. Street parking will not be permitted.

We advise you park at St Ann of the Dunes Church, 433 Golf Wood Rd, one mile south of the start line and take a shuttle bus to the start line. Look for the blue "Shuttle Stop" signs. After the race, the shuttle bus will take you back to your car. Arrive Early to allow time to shuttle to the start line.
