More About Get Together Thursdays: Batman and the Classics
GTT is a multi-disciplinary program celebrating music, theater, and the written word held on the 4th Thursday of the month. In May, former Saint Joseph's College professor, Michael Nichols, will discuss his new book, “Batman and the Classics, Echoes of Mythology, Literature and Philosophy in the Comics and Films” in which he compares famous Batman graphic novels, story arcs, and films to classic texts of literature and philosophy from around the world, from Beowulf to the Odyssey, and beyond. To meet at the Carnegie Center. Free to the public. Refreshments are provided.
