More About Further Afield Day Trip | Bush-Holley House
Join us for a private tour of The Bush-Holley House, a National Historic Landmark that tells the story of two eras: the New Nation (1790-1825) and the Cos Cob Art Colony (1790-1825). The interiors illustrate the evolution of a Colonial saltbox house, inhabited by tide mill and mercantile owners, as well as the emergence of the Cos Cob Art Colony at the turn of the 20th century, when artists including John Henry Twachtman, J. Alden Weir, and Childe Hassam converged at this then-bucolic boarding house situated on the Mianus River.
