Dead Moms Club: a supportive Mother's Day gathering

If Mother's Day feels complicated, you're not alone! Come be in community with us.

Mother’s Day can be a tender or difficult day for many of us, and ASATTB and ASATTCI are here to hold space for whatever you’re feeling. Whether your mom has passed or this day is simply hard for any reason, join us on May 10 from 6 to 7:30pm for Dead Moms Club.

Volunteers will be offering “mom hugs” to anyone who wants one, plus quiet activities like journaling with prompts and reverse coloring.

We’ll have gentle spaces for conversation around grief and loss, anger, frustration, and all the feelings that don’t always have a place to go. Author Maya-Gawonii will host poetry writing with optional prompts and, in the final half hour, we'll invite you to share your stories in a safe and supportive Open Mic setting.
