Learn about the history of the Charles River from a new perspective and its significance to the Natick Indigenous peoples. As we enter the Strawberry Moon cycle with the June new moon, the river's edge is in full motion: turtles bask on logs after laying their eggs in the sandy banks, dragonflies and damselflies skim the water at the height of their emergence, and Red-winged Blackbirds, kingbirds, and orioles defend active nests in the reeds and canopy.
