More About Maifest 2026
Join the Maifest on Sunday, May 31st! This family-friendly event celebrates the spring and is celebrated traditionally in Germany.
The Sacramento Turn Verein German Language School will be serving delicious German food and drinks, including Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake) and specialties including German beers and Spaghetti Ice Cream. Watch a special performance by the Alpentänzer Schuhplattler (German Dance Troupe) who will perform traditional dances around the Maypole, accompanied by a live band. In the afternoon, there will also be free organized games and crafts for the kids, and face-painting.
Proceeds from the event support the STV-German Language School, and promotes the German language, literature and culture.
