More About Veteran Street Sign Program 2026
Monuments & Ceremonies Commission is once again honoring one of our own!
On May 24, 2026 a sign in the name of War Time Veteran Frank B. Kemp will be placed at the top of Seagate Road/Boston Post Road. A brief ceremony will be held to honor Mr. Kemp at 12:00 PM. All are welcome to join us for this event.
Mr. Kemp enlisted in the Army Reserve Office raining Corps and upon graduation (1965) was commissioned as a 2 nd Lieutenant in the infantry, serving in Korea.
Frank was active in the community as Commander of the Darien Sail & Power Squadron. He and his wife Judy were recognized as Volunteers of the Year in 2006. They served on the Board of Person-to-Person, on the Vestry of St. Luke’s Parish and the Darien Arts Center.
