More About Walk for WAIT House 2026
The 2026 Walk for WAIT House will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Glens Falls High School Track. This family-friendly community event raises critical funds to support youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability throughout our region.
Participants are invited to walk at their own pace while enjoying field day games, prizes, family activities, and food from Coach's Corner Food Truck. Whether you walk as an individual, family, friend group, or team, every step helps support the programs and services provided by WAIT House.
WAIT House is the only shelter in the area dedicated to serving youth ages 16–24 and provides emergency shelter, transitional living, housing support, outreach services, and other resources that help youth and families achieve stability and independence.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals, families, community groups, and businesses. Depending on sponsorship level, sponsors receive complimentary walk registrations and the opportunity to have their name or logo featured on the official event t-shirt—providing lasting visibility throughout the community long after the event has ended.
