ABOUT THE POSITION

Town Planner of Northwest Indiana is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented team member to support our marketing and administrative operations.

This position requires a dedicated home office workspace with reliable high-speed internet. Your home office should be equipped with a computer, printer, and necessary office supplies. Applicants must reside in Northwest Indiana and have reliable transportation for occasional local errands and business visits.

While this is a remote position, it is ๐’๐’๐’• a fully virtual role. The position requires occasional local travel throughout Northwest Indiana for business visits, deliveries, event support, calendar distribution, and other errands as needed. Applicants must be comfortable working both remotely and in the field.

This is a ๐™ฅ๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ-๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ข๐™š ๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ (approximately 25 hours per week).

โ€ข Additional hours may occasionally be available during peak seasons or special projects.
โ€ข Weekends are generally not required.

The Administrative & Marketing Assistant will work closely with and support two business managers, helping ensure daily tasks, marketing projects, and community initiatives are completed accurately and on time.

This is a fast-paced position with many moving parts. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks at once, and adapt quickly as priorities change. Strong follow-through, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, communication, customer service, and supporting established processes in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

โ€ข Post and schedule content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
โ€ข Respond to social media comments and messages
โ€ข Provide friendly, professional customer service via phone, email, and social media
โ€ข Enter and update information in HubSpot CRM (training provided)
โ€ข Assist with email marketing and contact list management
โ€ข Enter community events, job openings, business listings, and other website content
โ€ข Schedule appointments and assist with sales follow-up activities
โ€ข Conduct online research and gather business contact information
โ€ข Assist with marketing projects and community initiatives
โ€ข Deliver calendars, promotional materials, and other items locally as needed
โ€ข Perform occasional local business visits, deliveries, and errands
โ€ข Provide administrative support
โ€ข Assist with special projects and other administrative, marketing, and operational duties as assigned

โ€ข The ability to think critically, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines
โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
โ€ข A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record
โ€ข The ability and willingness to perform local deliveries, business visits, and errands
