ABOUT THE POSITION

Town Planner of Northwest Indiana is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented team member to support our marketing and administrative operations.
This position requires a dedicated home office workspace with reliable high-speed internet. Your home office should be equipped with a computer, printer, and necessary office supplies. Applicants must reside in Northwest Indiana and have reliable transportation for occasional local errands and business visits.
While this is a remote position, it is ๐๐๐ a fully virtual role. The position requires occasional local travel throughout Northwest Indiana for business visits, deliveries, event support, calendar distribution, and other errands as needed. Applicants must be comfortable working both remotely and in the field.
This is a ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ฉ-๐ฉ๐๐ข๐ ๐ฅ๐ค๐จ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ (approximately 25 hours per week).
Typical hours are:

The Administrative & Marketing Assistant will work closely with and support two business managers, helping ensure daily tasks, marketing projects, and community initiatives are completed accurately and on time.
This is a fast-paced position with many moving parts. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks at once, and adapt quickly as priorities change. Strong follow-through, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, communication, customer service, and supporting established processes in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

โข Post and schedule content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
โข Respond to social media comments and messages
โข Provide friendly, professional customer service via phone, email, and social media
โข Enter and update information in HubSpot CRM (training provided)
โข Assist with email marketing and contact list management
โข Enter community events, job openings, business listings, and other website content
โข Schedule appointments and assist with sales follow-up activities
โข Conduct online research and gather business contact information
โข Assist with marketing projects and community initiatives
โข Deliver calendars, promotional materials, and other items locally as needed
โข Perform occasional local business visits, deliveries, and errands
โข Provide administrative support
โข Assist with special projects and other administrative, marketing, and operational duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

โข The ability to follow established processes and procedures
โข Comfortable learning new software and online platforms

โข A professional, dependable, and positive attitude
โข The ability to think critically, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines
โข Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
โข A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record
โข The ability and willingness to perform local deliveries, business visits, and errands
