Whether you’re a first-time hunter or need your certification, now is the perfect time to complete your Hunter Education Course with the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office!

🕕 Friday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
🕣 Saturday: 8:30 AM until course completion
📍 West LA Forestry Building

This 10-hour classroom course covers:
🔸 Firearm and hunting safety
🔸 Wildlife management principles
🔸 Hunting ethics
🔸 Game identification
🔸 Outdoor survival skills
🔸 Live-fire exercises
✅ Firearms and ammunition are provided for the live-fire portion, so students should not bring their own.
