More About Indiana Ballet Theatre Announces Open Auditions for 30th Anniversary Nutcracker
Indiana Ballet Theatre Northwest (IBT) invites dancers from throughout Northwest Indiana and surrounding communities to audition for its 2026 production of The Nutcracker, celebrating 30 Years of Nutcracker Magic!
Auditions are open to community dancers from all studios and training backgrounds. Dancers do not need to be current IBT students to participate. Opportunities are available for dancers ages 5 through adult, from beginner through advanced/pointe levels.

10:00–11:00 AM — Ages 5–7
11:30 AM–12:30 PM — Ages 8–10
1:00–2:00 PM — Ages 10–12
2:30–3:30 PM — Ages 13–17
2:30–3:30 PM — Adults 18+ Beginner/Intermediate, Non-Pointe
3:30–4:30 PM — Callbacks
SUNDAY, AUGUST 16:
12:00–1:45 PM — Ages 13+ Intermediate/Advanced, Pointe & Company 2
2:15–4:00 PM — Ages 14+ Advanced/Pointe & Company 1/ACo
3:00–4:00 PM — Adults 18+ Beginner/Intermediate, Pointe/Non-Pointe
4:00–5:00 PM — Callbacks
Pre-registration is required.
Selected dancers will have the opportunity to perform in IBT’s milestone 30th Anniversary Nutcracker at Theatre Northwest at Indiana University Northwest, December 3–5, and Valparaiso High School, December 19–20.
From the excitement of rehearsals and beautiful costumes to performing on stage and creating lifelong memories, The Nutcracker is a unique holiday tradition for dancers of all ages.
