More About Maine Book Festival

Join us for the 7th annual Maine Book Festival on August 22, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Thomaston Public Library and presented by Maine Authors Publishing! This year’s theme is Maine Wildlife, and we’re excited to celebrate the natural beauty and animals of Maine.
The festival will include signings by over 100 authors, presentations, live music by the Rocky Coast String Band, and an open studio featuring Maine artists. There will also be a children’s area with Susan and Randee Cassidy, food for sale from Rizza’s Kitchen, and ice cream from Stone Fox Farm Creamery. A portion of the proceeds from book sales and the basket raffle will benefit the Thomaston Public Library.
Chewonki will be providing a presentation on “Adaptations of Maine Wildlife” at 11:30am, Lou Zambello will be offering fly fishing demonstrations on the hour after his presentation “Introduction to Fly Fishing” at 1:30pm, and Dana Valleau will be offering hands-on experience during his presentation “Skins, Skulls, Tracks, Sign” at 2:30pm.
Thank you to our festival sponsors: Eldredge Lumber & Hardware, the First National Bank, Reclaimed Wild, and Wallace Events!
