More About The Inner Shelf Book Club - The Blue Line Letter

On August 19, the Inner Shelf Book Club will be meeting at 6:30 in the Conference Room to discuss The Blue Line Letters by Steven Christiansen.

In this young adult (YA),coming of age story, we will follow the protagonist, seventeen-year-old Ty, as he uses Portland’s MAX Blue Line for his daily commute. While a commute may seem boring, we, as the reader, have the unique opportunity to read Ty’s inner dialogue, his observations of the public, and his interactions with friends and potential love interests.

This story is full of heart and is sure to make you pause and consider the present moment. We will also have a storytime with the book, What's Sweeter by June Tate. This picture book is all about glimmers and staying in the present moment! Make sure to pick up your copy of The Blue Line Letters at the front circulation desk!
