Rowan Reads Story Walk Ribbon Cutting Event - Honoring Creek Week

We are excited to bring a new outdoor literacy experience to the Town of Cleveland and the West Rowan community! Join us for the Rowan Reads STORYWALK Ribbon Cutting, held in honor of Creek Week.

A STORYWALK is a fun, interactive way for children and families to enjoy a book while getting outside and exploring theirnity. Pages from a children's book are placed along a walking path, allowing families to read the story together as they walk from station to station.

The West Rowan Ukulele Club will kickoff the event. Featuring speakers from Rowan County Public Health, Rowan County Literacy Council, The Town of Cleveland, and West Rowan Elementary School. ( Special Thanks to Rowan County Public Health and Rowan Literacy Council for providing this community project grant )

September 18th 2026 from 3:30 - 5:00 P.M.
Bring your little ones and maybe a picnic blanket or just show up to visit a few food vendors and walk to see the things we are excited to share with you.
