More About Hog Days of Summer BBQ Competition
Get ready for a day filled with smoke, friendly competition, and some of the best barbecue you’ll find anywhere.
Hog Days of Summer brings championship pitmasters from across the region to Rural King in Bloomington for a full day of barbecue competition. Watch teams tend their pits, meet the cooks, and experience the sights, sounds, and aromas that make competition barbecue unlike anything else.
Throughout the day, certified barbecue judges will determine the champions in four KCBS-style categories:
🍗 Chicken
🐖 Pork Ribs
🐷 Pork
🥩 Brisket
Whether you’re a lifelong barbecue fan or just curious what competition barbecue is all about, Hog Days of Summer is a chance to see these talented teams in action.
