🐾🏛️ Could your pup become DeRidder’s first Dog Mayor? 🐶👑
The City of DeRidder’s Dog Mayor Contest is a fun community fundraiser for the Beauregard Bark Park! Register your dog today, share why they deserve to lead, and get ready to campaign for a great cause.
How it works:
🐾 September: Register your dog, upload a photo, proof of current vaccinations, and their “campaign platform.”
🗳️ October: Voting begins October 1! Every $1 donation = 1 vote, with all proceeds benefiting Bark Park improvements.
🎉 November 2: The winning pup will be announced and officially “sworn in” as DeRidder’s Dog Mayor!
The Dog Mayor will serve from January–December 2027, represent DeRidder in at least two parades, attend ribbon cuttings and other community events, and receive an official Mayor Portrait.
Plus, the top 12 dogs will be featured in a 2027 calendar available for purchase!
