More About Opening Reception! Elena Gray & Adam Johnson: Ways of Seeing
Michigan-based artist Elena Gray combines a myriad of printmaking techniques with painting to create richly layered compositions on canvas and wood panels. Her art delves into themes of girlhood, home, memory, gaze, and duality, drawing inspiration from photographs she collects or captures of friends and family.
Adam Johnson, a regional photographer, presents a series of street photographs from Seoul, Korea, from his time there as a member of the Air Force. His images focus on observing moments as they unfold, preserving both the subject’s privacy and the integrity of the scene.
