🐝 SWLA BEEKEEPERS MEETING — BROOD DISEASES 🍯
Beekeepers, mark your calendars! The SW LA Beekeepers will meet Monday, October 5, for an important discussion on diseases that can affect brood — or the “baby bees” developing inside the hive.

🐝 Topic: “Brood Diseases: American, European & Chalkbroods”
Knowing what to look for inside your hive is important! Some brood diseases are treatable, while others can be fatal to the colony and may require the hive to be destroyed. Accurate identification is key to determining the right course of action.
The meeting will take a closer look at American foulbrood, European foulbrood and chalkbrood, including how beekeepers can recognize potential problems.
🍯 As always, there will also be an open forum for your beekeeping questions, so whether you’re an experienced beekeeper or still learning, come ready to ask questions and share knowledge!
