More About One of a Kind Holiday Show + Sale® Chicago Celebrates 25 Years at THE MART December 3-6
Chicago’s favorite holiday shopping tradition is celebrating a major milestone. The One of a Kind Holiday Show + Sale® Chicago returns to the 7th Floor of THE MART from Thursday, December 3 through Sunday, December 6, marking 25 years of craft, community and creativity in Chicago. As one of Chicago’s most beloved annual holiday shopping events, the Holiday Show has welcomed an estimated 1 million attendees and represented more than 5,000 unique small businesses, creating a longstanding platform for independent artists, designers and makers to connect directly with shoppers. The four-day event will also feature Paint & Sip sessions, fine art gallery talks, hands-on craft activities, artist demonstrations, the Gourmet Market, Emerging Market, Fashion District, cafés, bars and more. The milestone year also celebrates the show’s 25-year partnership with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, with a portion of ticket proceeds once again benefiting the hospital.
Now in its 25th year, the One of a Kind Holiday Show has become Chicago’s premier holiday shopping destination for unique, handmade gifts and one-of-a-kind finds. The four-day event will bring together more than 600 jury-selected artists, designers and makers from across the country, giving thousands of shoppers the opportunity to meet the creators behind the work and shop directly from independent small businesses under one roof. The Holiday Show draws an average of approximately 45,000 guests and 600+ exhibitors annually, with about 60 percent of exhibitors returning year after year, underscoring the community that has grown around the event.
The milestone anniversary will also celebrate the longtime artists, designers and makers who have helped make the One of a Kind Show a Chicago holiday tradition, including a select group of exhibitors who have participated for 20 years or more.
Guests can discover thousands of handmade products across more than 20 categories, including accessories, bath and body, ceramics, fashion, fiber art, furniture, glass, gourmet food, home goods, holiday décor, jewelry, kids, leather, metal, mixed media, painting, paper, pet products, photography, repurposed and upcycled goods, sculpture and wood.
In celebration of its milestone anniversary, the 2026 show will offer even more opportunities for guests to engage directly with art and the creative process.
New this year, guests can participate in Paint & Sip sessions led by NEW Gallery, offering an interactive opportunity to create their own artwork while enjoying the festive atmosphere of the show.
The show will also continue its partnership with Art Encounter, whose experts will lead Fine Art Gallery Talks within the show’s dedicated fine art gallery, providing insight into featured works, artistic techniques and the stories behind the pieces on display.
Additional experiences throughout the weekend will include hands-on craft activities with Marwen, live artist demonstrations, and opportunities to experience creators at work and learn more about their processes firsthand.
Returning show favorites will include the Gourmet Market, showcasing specialty food and culinary products; the Emerging Market, spotlighting rising artists and makers; and the Fashion District, featuring distinctive apparel and accessories from independent designers.
Guests can also enjoy cafés and bars located throughout the show floor, provided by Foodstuffs, making it easy to spend the day shopping, exploring and celebrating the holiday season.
