More About Lecture Series
The Mission Historical Museum invites you to join us for our upcoming Lecture Series event with Dr. Brent Campney on Saturday, November 14th at 11AM!
In his presentation entitled "The UFW, Citrus Growers, the Freeze of 1983, and the Changing Economy of the RGV," Dr. Campney will examine the struggles between the United Farm Workers (UFW) and the growers in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas in the 1980s, and the Freeze of 1983 that initially exacerbated these struggles but soon precipitated the rapid decline of agriculture in the region.
This event is free and open to the public. For any questions call (956) 580-8646.
