More About Could You Spot a Real Croissant Expert?🧐
Think you can tell a great croissant from an ordinary one? Let’s see if you can earn the title of Croissant Expert. There are just three things to look for:
1. Look at the layers. Break your croissant open. Can you spot delicate, airy layers with a light, honeycomb-like interior? If yes, give yourself a point.
2. Listen for the crunch. Take a bite. A well-baked croissant should have a crisp, flaky exterior that makes that satisfying little crunch, while the inside remains soft and tender. Another point!🏆
3. Follow the aroma. Before you take another bite, notice the smell. A good croissant should have a rich, buttery aroma that makes it difficult to wait for that first taste. That’s your final point.
Scored 3/3? Congratulations, you’re officially a croissant expert! Scored less? There’s only one solution: more tasting practice.
Call in to Isabelle et Vincent and put your score to the test with a freshly baked French croissant.
