More About Business After Hours: A Neighborly Thanksgiving
Did you know that even in a community as prosperous as Greenwich, more than 27% of residents cannot afford the basics – including food? This number continues to climb as food costs rise and eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) – the largest federal nutrition assistance program in the United States – tightens.
For more than 50 years, Neighbor to Neighbor has helped close that gap by providing nutritious food, home and personal care essentials, and clothing in an atmosphere of kindness and respect. They operate a "client-choice" pantry designed to resemble a small grocery store, where clients select their own food from a healthy array of fresh and shelf-stable produce, proteins, dairy, and dry goods.
Join the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce and Neighbor to Neighbor (NtN) for a Business After Hours with a Thanksgiving twist. Come for a night of connection, see there work up close, and engage in a hands-on volunteer activity. We also invite you to come with something to give – guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable donation to help stock the shelves as we head into the holiday season. We know you'll leave inspired and hope you'll stay involved – whether through volunteer days, an ongoing partnership or continued in-kind support.
