More About Meals on Wheels South Florida's 2026 Thanksgiving Project
Help deliver Thanksgiving joy to nearly 400 homebound seniors across Broward County!
Meals on Wheels South Florida is celebrating 38 years of spreading gratitude, kindness, and holiday cheer through its annual Thanksgiving Project. This cherished community tradition brings together staff, volunteers, and local supporters to deliver warm Thanksgiving meals and meaningful connections to homebound seniors who might otherwise spend the holiday alone.
On Thanksgiving morning, dedicated staff and volunteers will deliver traditional holiday dinners complete with roasted turkey, savory stuffing, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie. Each delivery also includes a beautiful handmade placemat and a friendly holiday greeting, reminding seniors that they are remembered and valued during this special time of year.
Join Us and Make a Difference!
Volunteers will gather at the Meals on Wheels South Florida Distribution Warehouse to pick up their assigned delivery routes before heading out into the community. Routes are organized by ZIP code, and deliveries conclude by 11 a.m., allowing volunteers to return home to celebrate Thanksgiving with their own families.
