More About Retro Marathon 2024 - Modelville Hobby - Ashland
April 11-14, 2024
There was an R4 Retro event. There is the Retro Palooza, The Fall Brawl, The Southern Retro Rumble, The Spring Fling, and other Retro events.
It is time for New England to enter the ring, but we are not fighters or heavy drinkers, but we do have one of the most famous running race in the country if not the world, The Boston Marathon and it used to start in Ashland, MA. In honor of that race THE MODELVILLE HOBBY RETRO MARATHON begins a new Retro event to join those races we all know and want to race in.
Pit fee each day will be $10. Thursday’s pit fee is waived if you enter the IROC race. Sunday’s pit fee is waived if you enter the F-1 race.
All qualifying will be laps and sections in one minute. Ties will be broken by the fastest lap.
All races will be combined laps and sections. Races will be one and done.
Thursday, April 11th – Doors open 12:00 until 9:00 or ½ hour after end of race, whichever is last.
IROC Retro Race on the Figure 8. Start time based on the number of entries. Race fee is $20.
Friday, April 12th – Doors open 9:00 until 10:00 or 1/2 hour after end the race, whichever is last.
IRRA Stock Cars on the Royal. Race fee is $15.
Saturday, April 13th – Open 7:00 until 10:00 or ½ hour after the end of the race, whichever is last.
IRRA Coupes – Handout motors – on the Aristocrat – Entry fee is $35 with one hand out motor. Followed by
IRRA Can-Am – On the Sovereign – Entry fee is $15.
Sunday, April 14th – Open 7:00 until 7:00 or ½ hour after end of the race, whichever is last.
IRRA F1 – on the King. Entry fee is $15.
We will be working with local hotel and sponsors for room rate deals.
We are working on sponsors to help out with the cost of the races and also for goody bags items.
