Allegany College of Maryland (ACM) will host a spring open house event on Saturday, April 20. Sign in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Physical Education Building’s gymnasium where prospective students receive an ACM Future Student gift bag and a chance to win an ACM tuition voucher. ACM’s Open House is a multi-hour introduction to its Cumberland campus. It offers prospective students and their guests the chance to learn about Allegany College of Maryland’s career and transfer programs and student services (financial aid, scholarships, advising and registration) and take tours. Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably for walking in outdoor weather.
Be ready to meet, tour, refuel, and register for classes.
After signing in at 8:30 a.m. in the Gym/Bob Kirk Arena, attendees can choose from a variety of options, including:
Visits with representatives from ACM’s majors and programs and student services from 8:30-11 a.m.
Guided tours of the School of Hospitality Management and Culinary (downtown Cumberland) or the Western Maryland Works and Makerspace at ACM (LaVale) from 9:30-11 a.m.
Guided tours of the Cumberland campus from 9:30-11 a.m.
Self-guided tours of academic program areas, labs and classrooms to meet ACM faculty from 9:00-1:30 p.m.
Guided tours of student housing (Willowbrook Woods) from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Lunch in College Center from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Register for summer or fall classes, or visit Student Services Offices and the Campus Store from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
