More About Open House
There’s no better way to welcome summer than out on the water - and Green Bay Sail & Paddle (GBSP) is inviting the community to do just that. On Thursday, June 4 from 5–8pm, the organization will host a buoyant Open House featuring free sailboat rides, beachside fun, and a chance to experience the thrill of sailing firsthand.
Guests are invited to step aboard Hobie® Wave catamarans for a complimentary ride on the bay - no experience necessary. Whether you’ve always been curious about sailing or are simply looking for a unique evening outdoors, this event offers the perfect opportunity to “get your feet wet” in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
“Our Hobie® Wave catamarans launch right from the beach, giving guests a hands-on, close-to-the-water sailing experience - so plan for a little splash as you step aboard,” said Tim Hess, GBSP Board President. “It’s a fun, authentic way to experience sailing, and once you feel the wind in the sails, you’ll understand why so many fall in love with it.”
In addition to time on the water, attendees can enjoy complimentary burgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill, making it an easy, family-friendly outing. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about upcoming youth, adult, and adaptive sailing programs offered throughout the season.
The event is free, but space is limited and fills quickly. Advance registration is encouraged to guarantee a spot on the water.
To register or learn more, visit Click for Details or call 920-366-1620.
Come experience the Bay of Green Bay, connect with community, and discover the simple joy of sailing on June 4th.
