More About Little River Chamber of Commerce

About the Chamber
Our primary objective is to make this area an even better place to live, work and play. Part of the Chamber’s mission is to be a community leader and assist in the economic development of the region. We do that through service, innovation, community leadership and collaboration.

The Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center works closely with the local government and elected leadership of Horry County. This close working relationship ensures that the business climate at the community level remains positive and supportive for quality sustainable growth and a thriving economy.

The Little River Chamber of Commerce also represents our members for state and national issues and works with both the US Chamber of Commerce and the SC State Chamber to lobby for our local concerns to ensure they are on the state and national radar.

Businesses: If you’re new to the area or this site, discover the benefits of being a member of the Little River Chamber. We also recommend our digital small business resource center.

Accomplishments
As there is no local municipality, the Little River Chamber of Commerce has taken the initiative to fund local necessities, such as: maintaining the medians on Hwy 17, maintaining streetlights on Hwy 17 & Mineola Ave, maintaining area welcome signs, worked closely with Horry County to provide a free public parking lot, and more. Learn more on our Reinvestments page.

The Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center currently manages two large festivals that promote tourism and provide a fun distraction for locals. These festivals also create a combined $4.25 Million economic impact for our area.

The World Famous Blue Crab Festival and Little River ShrimpFest exemplify how a community can come together to showcase their love for their home. Both festivals are primarily staffed by volunteers and sponsored by a variety of local businesses who want to display their community and put on a great event for both locals and visitors alike to enjoy.

If you'd like additional exposure for your business or organization, we offer all kinds of options to fit your needs and budget. Do you want to bring more people in to your establishment? Why not consider a coupon or a promotional event? If you just need to keep yourself in the public eye you might want to think about placing an eye-catching full-color ad. You can choose your medium: the website, the mobile app, the weekly newsletter, our popular wall calendar, or any combination of the four.

Did you know that independent studies by the Verafast Corporation repeatedly show that at least 70% of all homeowners who receive our calendar keep and use it all year long? That's a phenomenal retention rate and makes sure that your business or organization is truly being put On Display Every Day.

With your account you'll also have the opportunity to post events that will appear on our website, in our weekly newsletter, and on our mobile app. Please remember that Town Planner is a franchise and all events are subject to approval by the local publisher in your area. If you're uncertain about your event, please feel free to contact your local publisher to inquire about his or her policies prior to posting.

Remember too that we are a family friendly organization and reserve the right to reject any events that we deem inappropriate for our calendar or online media tools.
