Dear homeowner, I am doing my best. But I was built to handle a certain amount of power, and lately you have been asking me to do far more than that. A few honest reminders from yours truly, the power strip:
· I am not a substitute for more outlets: I am meant to be a convenient extension, not a permanent solution to more outlets. Please call an electrician instead of relying on me long term.
· I cannot handle high-draw appliances: Space heaters, microwaves, and similar appliances need a wall outlet directly. ⚠️
· Please don’t daisy-chain me: Plugging one power strip into another multiplies the risk and overwhelms the circuit behind us both. One of me is plenty.
