More About GPL | TeenHQ: Reach for Youth
Caroline Mouser from Reach for Youth will be here to help teens by leading a session on Understanding Anxiety & Depression: What to Know and How to Cope.
Stress and low moods are common in high school, and it isn't always easy for a teen to know what they're feeling or how to put it into words. This session helps teens understand what anxiety and depression are, recognize the signs in themselves and their friends, and pick up coping strategies that actually help when things feel like too much. We'll also talk about how and where to ask for help.
What we'll cover:
What anxiety and depression are, and how to spot the signs
Coping strategies for when you're feeling overwhelmed
How to help a friend who's going through it
Where to turn when you want support, and how to start that conversation
