More About Chimney Swept 🧹

It's important to sweep your chimney on a regular basis at least once a year. This will allow any problems in your flue or other parts of your system to be addressed. When you are buying a home, it's important to schedule for the chimney to be swept before closing. This will ensure that your heating system or fireplace will run efficiently in winter and keep your home warm.

You should also have your chimney cleaned before you decide to sell your home. This will show buyers that you are a responsible homeowner who is looking out for their best interest. It also gives them peace of mind when looking at the purchase.
A few days before you have your chimney serviced, it's a good idea to open the flue and be sure that there are no paper products or trash inside. You should also ensure that the chimney cap is in place after you get done burning wood for the season. A lot of leaves or other debris may enter through your chimney and it's important to find this out beforehand so that you aren't surprised about a burnt chimney in the spring.
