More About Annual Spring Gala
Join us for one of the Alumni Association’s most highly anticipated traditions, Spring Gala 2026.
Since its inception in 1997, Spring Gala has brought together University and community supporters for an unforgettable evening in support of the Alumni Association. Now in its 29th year, this beloved annual event continues to celebrate the spirit, pride, and traditions of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Proceeds from the evening help fund important Alumni Association initiatives that connect alumni to the University, to each other, to the community, and to students.
This year, we are proud to honor Jake Delhomme, a Ragin’ Cajun legend and retired NFL Pro Bowl quarterback. Known for his hard work, grit, and perseverance, Jake made history at the University of Southwestern Louisiana as the only true freshman quarterback to start for a Division I program in 1993. He finished his collegiate career as the school’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire generations of Ragin’ Cajuns.
The 2026 Spring Gala will take place at Blackham Coliseum, a Lafayette landmark that has brought generations together since 1950. For one extraordinary evening, guests will experience Blackham Coliseum transformed like never before.
The evening will feature silent and live auctions with an exciting selection of items, including original artwork, unique gift assortments, travel experiences, and Ragin’ Cajuns merchandise. Guests will also enjoy fine food, entertainment, and a memorable night celebrating the strength of our alumni community.
