About MusiCreators

Caryn Borgetti is certified as an Early-Childhood Specialist through the ECMMA. She has a Masters Degree in Music Education. She completed her Undergraduate Music Education Degree from DePaul University in Chicago where she received an Illinois State Special Teaching Certificate for Music (K-12). While at DePaul, Caryn also studied other child-centered music methods such as Orff. She is Level 1 certified in Orff and Musikgarten and licensed to teach both.

Caryn Borgetti has been a private music/piano teacher since 1986. Caryn is a professional singer. She teaches the 1st/2nd grade children’s choir at Our Saviours Church and she is the song leader in her church. She has taught general music (K-5) in district 203 for 14 years.

It is her love of children and her enthusiasm for music that creates a nurturing learning environment where children have fun while gaining skills used to begin instrumental lessons at a later age.

Music Class Objectives

To instill the joy of music in children by engaging families in developmentally appropriate music activities involving the whole child – the child’s desire for language, the body’s urge to move, the brain’s attraction to patterns, the ear’s lead in initiating communication, the voice’s response to sounds, as well as the eye-hand coordination associated with playing musical instruments.
