When Ed Thomas’ great-grandfather opened the doors to his first pharmacy in North Carolina in 1902, he could not have imagined that more than a century later his legacy would extend across four community drugstores in North and South Carolina.
As a young boy, Ed Thomas remembers the warmth that infused his family’s drug stores—the yearly Christmas parade down Main Street in Calabash, NC; late nights with his mother, Sandra, while book keeping; customers dropping in for a prescription and chatting for hours with his father about town happenings. Thomas Seashore drugstores have always been a place where, to quote a famous sitcom, “everybody knows your name.”
