More About Shoe Stories: Walk Through Time with Vintage Footwear

Each pair of vintage shoes tells a unique story, reflecting the evolution of fashion and culture. From the sleek lines of 1920s jazz shoes to the bold platforms of the 1970s, vintage footwear spans decades and genres.

The 1950s saddle shoes, with their distinctive two-tone design, were a symbol of youthful exuberance. Moving forward, the rebellious spirit of the 1960s is embodied in the go-go boots – a stark departure from the conservative norms. 🥾

In the 1980s, neon sneakers took center stage, mirroring the vibrant and energetic pop culture. The utilitarian combat boots of the 1990s, on the other hand, narrate a story of grunge and defiance.

Vintage shoes aren't just fashion artifacts; they are time capsules, carrying the essence of bygone eras. So, slip into these time-traveling soles and stride through history with every step. Contact The Marketplace and bring these vintage shoe stories to life in your wardrobe. 👩‍💼

THE MARKETPLACE
A vintage thrift store local to Greenwich, CT.

Our Story
The start of this business was unconventional, in that there was a calling. A calling during a time of the unknown and fear. We had a calling to bring hope, encouragement, happiness, and help to a community that is coming back to life. We started in a time when no business should have started, but we were told by a greater power that it was time.

So with a little gut and gumption we opened our doors late January 2021. We are here to help bring a little joy and hope to everyone that walks through our doors. All are welcome to shop, hangout, and explore all that we have here at The Marketplace.
