More About Donut Land
Some things never change and when you visit Donut Land, we think you’ll agree, that’s a good thing!
I want to take a moment to give some insight into our daily operations. Donut Land has always been about family and community, and our employees and patrons have made us the #1 donut shop in NorthEast Ohio!
We are a small “mom and pop” donut shop. Everything you see, in every case, is homemade, hand cut, hand coated, hand filled, hand frosted, operating at maximum capacity, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Only closed on Holidays, special occasions and on Mondays in the summer)
We often run out of Fancy items (aka Apple Fritters, Cinnamon Rolls, etc) on most weekends within an hour or so of them being in the showcase. And even if we have already started the process of making more, it may be hours before they hit the case again. As frustrating as that can be, it is definitely not any reason for my staff to be on the receiving end of any anger, disrespect, or condescension. Please trust that our goal is to make our customers happy! However, we simply can not produce past our operational limitations. We are making as much as we can, but every batch of dough goes through a very specific cutting order to yield all of the different types of donuts and treats you love!
In reference to any errors you may have encountered: We have a dedicated staff, ranging in age from high schoolers to grandmothers; people who have been here for years mastering their skills; new hires who are working so hard to learn all of the varieties we offer. Training in a shop like this takes weeks, months, even years! Mistakes are bound to happen. We ask you to please grant these lovely team members grace. We can never claim perfection but we absolutely promise to correct our mistakes. Selling out of our products multiple times per day is such a blessing of a “problem” to have! Thank you all so much for continuing to be a part of the Donut Land Legacy!
From Homer Simpson to our childhood memories of weekend mornings with our family, donuts (or doughnuts, if you prefer) connect us as a nation and Donut Land is proud to be a part of this generation-spanning tradition of Americana with recipes that have endured for decades! A lot has changed since Donut Land’s opening in 1972. One thing that has not is our commitment to making the highest quality donuts in the Brunswick community. Tender, delicate, and made fresh daily, there’s no compromise on quality here at Donut Land! Newly renovated, Donut Land is proud to serve up the same quality ingredients and delicious breakfast items it did in the beginning. We continue to offer breakfast and dessert catering for parties of all sizes, and the owners have even been known to create a Happy Birthday donut cake. For more than 50 years, Donut Land has been making delicious homestyle donuts in the same way. Plus there’s always a pot or two of fresh coffee and one of Donut Land’s regulars perched by the counter.
