More About Mark Whitfield Trio
Mark Whitfield is one of the most respected jazz guitarists of his generation, known for his soulful tone, masterful technique, and seamless blend of jazz, blues, and gospel influences. A protégé of George Benson, Whitfield emerged in the early 1990s as a major voice on the instrument and quickly became a sought-after collaborator and bandleader.
Over the course of his career, he has performed and recorded with a wide range of legends, including Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Christian McBride, and Dianne Reeves, among many others.
