About Central PA Animal Alliance

The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats in central Pennsylvania through spaying and neutering, fostering, adoptions, and public outreach and education.

CPAA has two life-saving programs—De-Sex in the City and Hounds of Prison Education (HOPE). De-Sex in the City provides free and low cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccines to dogs and cats in central Pennsylvania.

HOPE pairs carefully screened inmates at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill with rescued dogs for training, to help get them adopted more quickly. Both programs are saving animals’ lives!

CPAA brings together individuals and area rescue and shelter groups to end the killing of dogs and cats as the means of animal population control. Together, we can create a “no-kill” community in central Pennsylvania that is better for both people and animals.

Every litter is a tragedy, because each litter of puppies or kittens born means more shelter animals die.

Don't breed or buy while homeless animals die. Opt to ADOPT !

If you're uncertain about your event, please feel free to contact your local publisher to inquire about his or her policies prior to posting.

Remember too that we are a family friendly organization and reserve the right to reject any events that we deem inappropriate for our calendar or online media tools.
