More About In-Person - Mini Renaissance Faire @ the Ashland Library!

Find all of the info here: Click for Details

This is a new one for us, but we are beyond excited to bring a Mini Ren Faire to Ashland! If you love things Medieval, Pirates, Puffy Shirts, and so much more, this is for your. We'll have jousts, crafts, vendors, and something for every age. This is not just a turkey leg extravaganza, it is also an opportunity to learn how people lived (and survived) back in the day with demonstrations and hands-on activities. We hope that you'll bring the whole family (in costume, of course :).

We'll have demonstrations and hands-on activities with:

~Merchants and Artisans, including demonstrations of blacksmithing (with a real life forge!), candle making and more!
~Jugglers and Jesters
~Models and Replicas of 15th Century ~Printing Equipment
~Roaming Musicians
~Medieval Dance Lessons
~Knight Fight (mock, of course)
~Kids Crafts and Games (catapult & axe throwing anyone?)
~An Apothecary (learn about herbs!)
~The Friends of the Ashland Library Mini Donation and Book sale (what a great time to buy books!)
~Creative Medieval-ish foods by Doragon Eatery and Dulce de Leche
~Playing with the Ashland Mom’s Group
~Author of “Traitor Knight” Keith Willis
~Flowers by Blush Bouquets
~Dragon Eggs and Magic Wands
~D&D for Teens (limited space)
~Face Painting... And So Much More!

This is a FREE event that is open to all. The Trustees of the Ashland Library, though, have given permission for our vendors to sell their wares so bring your wallets in case something (like a dragon's egg) catches your eye.

This is also a rain or shine event. In case of rain, some of the activities will move into the library but some will remain outside under tents. Be prepared.....

Registration is Requested for this event so we can have enough mini turkey legs (aka chicken drumsticks) on hand AND you'll receive reminders. The email will be coming from ashlandprograms@minlib.net.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library and we are pleased to be working with Ren Faire afficionado, Kathy Antobenedetto to make this happen.
