More About Uncle Nearest HBCU Old Fashioned Challenge
The Rum Room is partnering with Uncle Nearest Whiskey, the world's first-known African American master distiller, to support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through the Uncle Nearest HBCU Old Fashioned Challenge. For every old fashioned purchase, the Rum Room will donate $1 from March 1 until June 19, Juneteenth, contributing to the goal of raising over $1.4 million in scholarship funds for students at accredited HBCUs nationwide. Notably, Uncle Nearest Whiskey is an all-woman-owned company, making it a fitting choice to support this meaningful cause and celebrate March as International Women's Month.
