More About Allegany College of Maryland Tour & Explore Day
Allegany College of Maryland (ACM) invites prospective students, families, and community members to attend its Tour and Explore Day on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, starting at 9:00am.
Check-in will be at the Thomas Welcome Center between 9:00am-10:30. Walk-ins are welcome! The event will provide an opportunity for those interested to explore academic programs, tour campus facilities, and connect with faculty, staff, and current students. Participants will also gain insight into student life, including clubs, organizations, and extracurricular opportunities. Programs will be set up in the College Center, with the opportunity for both guided and self-guided tours.
The event will take place on the college’s Cumberland campus, though tours of the Gateway Center and Western Maryland Works will also be available. Designed to help visitors learn more about the wide range of educational opportunities available at ACM, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with instructors and tour their programs of interest, allowing them an opportunity to go beyond the general campus tour.
The event also includes tours of ACM’s student apartments, and a chance to connect with student services which benefit those seeking guidance in financial aid, admissions and advising. Staff will also be present to assist with class registration.
