Frances lost two brothers when she was a little girl and never knew how to process the grief, especially during the holidays. One year, she decided to “skip Christmas” and seek to understand why she had a hard time with Christmas. Months of quiet reflection began to reveal her deep-seated, unprocessed grief and as she began to heal, she started writing music. With a vision to share her story and music, she stepped out to follow her dream of putting together a professional concert each December. Along with other professional musicians from the South Central Pennsylvania region, Frances now combines humor, stories and inspiring music to offer hope during the holidays. This annual event has become a highlight of the Christmas season for many people.
Every year Frances and her Portraits of White team work hard to maintain the nostalgic feel of Christmas while presenting music in a unique way that is new and creative but still leaves you with the warm, fuzzy Christmas feeling you expect during the holidays.
This year’s concert will be held at The Meeting House in Carlisle, PA (Carlisle Campus) in their cozy, intimate Sanctuary setting. Choose from 3 different event times: Friday, December 13 @ 7:00 pm, Saturday, December 14 @ 2:00 pm or 7:00 pm. Tickets and information available at PortratsOfWhite.com or by calling 717-448-8268.
