More About Behind-the-Scenes at the Museum of Medical History

In celebration of Sacramento Photography Month April, the Museum of Medical History will be open Tuesdays from 10 AM-2 PM for a behind the scenes look at medical artifacts normally behind glass. Photographers will get a chance to see artifacts up close and photograph them for their personal collections. Backdrop and lighting provided, come with your camera, phone, or Poloroid! Each Tuesday a different set of artifacts will be available to photograph up close.

Weekly Themes:

Tuesday, April 7: Early Surgery, Civil War Medicine, and Surgical Tools

Tuesday, April 14: Quackery Devices and Patent Medicine Bottles/Items

Tuesday, April 21: Microscopes, X-Ray Tubes, Heart Valves, and Doctor’s Bags

Tuesday, April 28: Individual Requests*

*Note: We are unable to remove some artifacts from their exhibits, including skulls and skeletons, paper artifacts, and extremely fragile items.
