Hi, I'm Elizabeth Johnson, Your Local Town Planner Publisher
My name is Elizabeth Johnson, and I publish local community calendars throughout Northeast Ohio. What may look like a simple calendar is, to me, something much more meaningful – it’s a tool that keeps our community informed, engaged, and connected throughout the year.My passion for this work is rooted in my lifelong love of stories and communication. I attended Seton Hall University in New Jersey, where I studied English, knowing I was drawn to storytelling, connection, and creative expression. That foundation continues to shape how I approach my work today. Every calendar we publish tells the story of a community – its events, its businesses, its milestones, and the people who make it thrive.
Our calendars serve as a reliable resource for residents, highlighting important dates, events, and information that help keep everyone on the same page. At the same time, they provide meaningful exposure for local businesses, creating a mutually beneficial platform that supports economic growth right here at home. I’m proud to play a role in bringing these two sides together. I partner closely with local business owners to feature their advertisements and special offers within the calendar. Each ad and coupon represents more than just a promotion; it reflects the hardworking entrepreneurs who make our community unique. I truly value the relationships I build with these business owners. Hearing their stories, learning about their goals, and helping them reach their neighbors and beyond is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Beyond publishing, I’m also a local yoga teacher. Teaching yoga has deepened my appreciation for mindfulness, balance, and community – values that carry into my professional life as well. Whether I’m leading a class, meeting with a business owner, or coordinating calendar details, I strive to create meaningful connections and positive experiences.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me spending time outdoors, reading a good book, or enjoying time with my kids. Being rooted in this community not just professionally but personally is what makes this work especially fulfilling.
What makes the calendar so special is knowing that the final product is something people use every day. It hangs in kitchens, offices, and classrooms – a constant presence that supports organization while also showcasing the businesses that power our local economy.
I’m proud that my role helps strengthen community ties, encourages residents to shop local, and helps small businesses thrive. I’m grateful to contribute to a publication that reflects the heart of our community and to work alongside the people who make my community such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.
