More About Free Skin Cancer Screening
In recognition of Skin Cancer Awareness Month in May, Dr. David Dunaway at Dermatology Partners will be hosting a free skin cancer screening event for the community on Thursday, May 23, from 8 a.m. – noon. The screening will take place at Dermatology Partners’ Bryn Mawr office, 945 Haverford Road, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Those interested should call 610-525-1920 for an appointment.
Skin cancer is the most common form of all cancers, impacting one out of every five people during their lifetime and more than two million Americans annually. High sun exposure in the first 10 years of life more than doubles the risk of developing melanoma skin cancer.
The good news is that regular skin exams lead to early detection of skin cancers, when they are easiest to treat and cure. The greatest defense against skin cancer begins with knowledge and proactive care.
