More About Spring Bird Breakfast

Join us for one of our favorite traditional events to celebrate the peak of spring migration on World Migratory Bird Day! Following our Spring Migration Bird Tours at 7 a.m., complimentary breakfast will be served for all. Materials on bird migration will be available for all attendees and naturalists will be on hand to point out the many colorful migratory birds that will be singing around us.

Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. following our Spring Migration Bird Tours. Bird Tour attendees will have the option to be led on these guided tours at both our main Sanctuary, Fairchild Gardens on North Porchuck Road, Hemlock Gorge Preserve on Audubon Lane and Gimbel Preserve on Sherwood Ave. To register for the 7 a.m. bird tours visit the link below and select the May 9th tour: Click for Details

We will also have LIVE BIRD BANDING demonstrations by licensed volunteers. Starting at 8:30 a.m. and throughout the breakfast period you will have the special opportunity to observe our migrating songbirds up close while being handled by licensed bird banders to learn about the important research bird banding provides us for conservation efforts.

Upon arrival for breakfast walk down the main driveway of the Greenwich Audubon Center to the Asnes Barn (Second red barn on your RIGHT). Handicap parking only is available at the Asnes Barn, if you wish to reserve a handicap parking space please contact us and we will be happy to make arrangements.
