More About How to Live with an Opossum in Your Garden
Opossums are a benefit to any garden they inhabit. Their diet includes all types of bugs, snails, mice and rats, and rotting fruit that has fallen from trees. The opossum helps keep our gardens clean and free of harmful garden pests and rodents.
At the November 10th meeting of the Orange County Organic Gardening Club, Carrie Anderson will discuss living with opossums, including:
- Meet your garden neighbor
- Why an opossum might visit your garden
- The surprising benefits
- Are opossums dangerous?
- Protecting your garden
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. on Tuesday November 10th at Centennial Farm in the Orange County Fairgrounds (88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa 92627). Meetings are open to the public and free. For more information, contact ocogclub@gmail.com
