More About Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series: Chloe Kimes
The 2026 Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series kicks off on Thursday, June 25, with Chloe Kimes. The Nashville‑based singer‑songwriter is helping to define the next generation of folk‑singing troubadours, blending an old‑soul gift for storytelling with the grit and energy of a modern alt‑country band. Her self‑titled 2022 debut showcased rafter‑reaching vocals and incisive songwriting, earning comparisons to Lucinda Williams and landing her on NPR’s list of Top 10 Nashville Artists on the Rise. With songs that are both intimate and fearless, Kimes delivers music rooted in tradition yet unmistakably her own.
The Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series brings the community together each summer through ten free, live outdoor concerts that celebrate music, connection and place. The series energizes Cumberland’s historic city center and showcases the Festival Grounds at Canal Place. With sweeping water views, gorgeous mountain scenery and a lively, welcoming atmosphere, Levitt AMP concerts have become a beloved gathering place to celebrate arts and culture in the tri-state western Maryland community.
Launched in 2023, the series features free, family‑friendly concerts showcasing artists from a wide range of musical genres. Each week brings the community together—neighbors, friends and visitors of all ages—for an evening that celebrates music, connection and the arts. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or a chair, invite friends and enjoy a vibrant summer tradition in the heart of Cumberland.
The Levitt AMP Cumberland Music Series is supported in part by the Levitt Family Foundation, which partners with changemakers and nonprofits to strengthen the social fabric of communities in America through free, live music in outdoor public spaces. Presenting high-caliber talent and a broad array of music genres and cultural programming, Levitt concerts are welcoming, inclusive destinations where people of all ages and backgrounds come together. In 2026, the Levitt Family Foundation is supporting over 900 free concerts in 90+ towns and cities across the country, bringing joy to over a million people. In addition to supporting free concerts, the Foundation is dedicated to advancing vibrant music ecosystems through partnerships, field-building initiatives, and research. levitt.org
