MONTHLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION OUTREACH PROGRAM
1. Our first distribution took place on the 3rd Saturday of the month in March, 2011.
2. The stats show the explosive growth of this ministry and now we have served over 25,000 individuals
3. The media has been supportive of this ministry and NB has enjoyed coverage from local newspapers and local TV on several occasions
4. In Sept. 2014, NB was honored to be chosen by the United Way as a grocery
distribution site for United Way's Day of Caring. We had two food distributions in one weekend and again you, the volunteers,came through.
5. We assisted St. Paul's in Summerville start a food distribution
6. We rely on donations both individual and bequests to support to NB; during the years we have had
limited manpower to implement fundraisers and are we are currently looking for
someone to head the fundraising efforts
7. Our volunteers are what keeps this ministry going
8. Not only do we distribute free groceries each month, we also provide help with
social services, free lunch, free haircuts, a children's craft table and used sheets donated from local hotels.
