Youth Fishing Derby_City of McHenry

The City of McHenry Youth Fishing Derby will be organized and hosted by K-Adams Foto and sponsored by the Parks & Recreation Department.

This is a FREE EVENT thanks to our many sponsors. To be a sponsor contact either the Parks & Rec office or K-Adams Foto.

Trophies will be awarded in 3 age categories:
- 1-4 yrs.
- 5-8 yrs.
- 9-13 yrs.

FOR:
Smallest Fish \ Largest Fish \ Most Fish

There will be a giveaway for anyone who registers in advance (pre-registration encouraged but walk-ins are welcome).

This is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT.

Bait & Breakfast provided but you must come with your own fishing gear.

This event runs in coordination with the McHenry County Conservation District's free fishing weekend. No fishing permit is required the weekend of June 14th-17th 2024 or during our event, June 15th 2024.

NOTE: Parents are allowed to help cast, bait and release fish but the kids have to help real the fish in and bring to the tent for measuring and recording.
