  • - Set in Depression-era Times Square, "Guys and Dolls" is about a couple of big city gamblers and the women who love them. It tells the overlapping stories of high-roller Sky Masterson, who falls in love with mission worker Sarah Brown, and lovable rapscallion Nathan Detroit, engaged for 14 years to Miss Adelaide, a headliner at the Hot Box Club. Nathan runs a famous floating crap game, and an ongoing plot line involves his quest for a safe place for the game as Adelaide continues her quest to convince him to marry her. Meanwhile, Sarah, mistakenly believing that Sky set up an illegal game at the mission, tries to fight her affection for the charismatic crapshooter. "Guys and Dolls" takes us from bustle of Times Square to the dance clubs of Havana to the sewers of New York City as it demonstrates the great lengths to which a guy will go when he truly falls in love with a "doll." "Guys and Dolls" features some of Frank Loesser's most memorable tunes, including the hilarious "Adelaide's Lament," the romantic "I've Never Been in Love Before," the exuberant "If I Were a Bell," and the classic "Luck Be a Lady." $18 adults, $16 seniors/students.

    - Now going into our fifth year, it is amazing to see the growth and support we’ve experienced since beginning in December of 2012. We have cozy, downstairs concerts during the winter, and move upstairs in our barn for larger shows during the warmer months (our record so far: over 400 people in August 2014!!!) The details tend to stay the same: one Saturday out of the month, we open our doors at 7pm, and music starts at 7:30pm, either with Bud’s Collective or an opening band. We always sell food that features grass fed beef we raise here on our farm, as well as some other goodies and snacks made by Michelle. Cover at the door is $10.00 (for usually 4+ hours of music!!). Check out photos and videos, and join us for some fun!

    - Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates. Deuteronomy 11:18-20

Classes for all ages! If you are not involved in a Sunday school class, I really encourage you to find one that you can grow in. Studying God’s Word is never a mistake. Don’t worry if you don’t know the answers, there are teacher’s guides to guide you, curricula to use. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to pronounce every name and place. I’ll give you a hint, the others in your group won’t know the difference.

Will you be there next Sunday?

We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of the Lord coming. Hebrews 10:25

Delivered free of charge every December to millions of homes across America, our full-sized, full-color calendar is a time-tested and beloved tool for helping families stay organized. The large date blocks are not only loaded with lots of nearby events and fun things to do, there's plenty of room for you to record your own family's important events like birthdays, anniversaries, parties -- anything you have planned -- so everybody in the house can see them whenever they go to the fridge, out the front door, or wherever you choose to display it.

But there's more! Every calendar is full of coupons from popular local merchants, so you can save money while supporting small businesses right in your hometown.

And don't miss our beautiful full-color photography! Every month you'll recognize a new photo from someplace close to home, submitted to us by a local photographer. If you'd like to have your own hometown photos included in our calendar, please contact your local publisher for more information.

We truly believe it's better to "keep it local". From coast to coast and border to border, our network of franchisees work with organizations and merchants right in their community to make sure you get the information and savings you care about. We prefer to feature family-friendly events that are a short walk or drive away, and coupons from local businesses so you can support your hometown economy.

If there's something happening close to home that folks in your neighborhood need to know about, why not submit it to us today? Please note that publication of your event is subject to approval by your local Town Planner publisher.

If there's no Town Planner calendar in your area, you could be looking at a great business opportunity! Town Planner franchisees set their own hours and can work out of their homes while providing a valuable service to both homeowners and local businesses in the area.
